About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead our People, Culture and Talent Acquisition function across a group of hotels in the North West of Ireland. Covering our properties in the region, this is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to make a genuine impact within a growing hospitality business.
Working closely with the Group Leadership Team, General Managers and Department Heads, you will help shape a positive employee experience, attract and retain great people, develop future talent, and build a strong, engaging workplace culture.
This is a hands-on, visible and strategic position, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the operation, building relationships with colleagues and managers, and translating good people practices into real business results.
Key Responsibilities
People & Culture
Lead and develop the Group's People & Culture strategy; build an engaging, inclusive and high-performing workplace; act as a trusted HR partner to General Managers and senior leaders; drive employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing and retention initiatives; maintain a visible HR presence across all three hotels.
Talent Acquisition
Lead recruitment strategy across the Group; attract and recruit high-quality hospitality talent; manage the full recruitment cycle from workforce planning through to onboarding; build talent pipelines and relationships with local schools, colleges and training providers; develop the Group's employer brand and support international recruitment where required.
Employee Relations & HR Support
Provide professional HR advice to managers and employees; manage employee relations matters including performance, attendance, conduct, grievances and disciplinary processes; coach managers to handle people matters with confidence; ensure consistent application of HR policy and keep the business informed on employment legislation.
Learning, Development & Talent
Develop Group-wide Learning & Development programmes; strengthen induction and onboarding; support career progression, internal promotion and succession planning; build leadership capability across the hotels.
Workforce Planning & HR Operations
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organisational development; monitor turnover, absence and engagement trends; ensure compliance with employment legislation; work closely with Finance and Payroll; maintain accurate HR records and oversee contracts and probation reviews.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, tourism, retail or another high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation
- Experience managing recruitment and talent acquisition
- Strong employee relations and management advisory experience
- Experience in employee engagement, learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- The confidence to coach and influence managers at all levels
- A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach
- Willingness to travel between our North West properties
- Minimum three years' relevant experience required
